Michigan (WLUC) – Green Timber Consulting Foresters Inc. (Green Timber) and Grossman Forestry Company Inc. (Grossman Forestry) of Copper Country announced Monday that the two companies have merged.

According to a press release, the respective presidents of both companies have signed a letter of intent to merge through the sale of Grossman Forestry to Green Timber. The sale is expected to close on January 1, 2025.

Grossman Forestry has been serving landowners in the eastern Upper Peninsula and northern Lower Peninsula since 1991, while Green Timber has been managing forests in the western Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin since 2001.

Following the merger, the two companies will manage over 550,000 acres in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, northern Wisconsin and Michigan’s northern Lower Peninsula.

“We are excited to join forces with the Grossman Forestry staff. The combination of our two teams will provide our clients with expanded expertise and capabilities through a broader network of land management services while providing efficiencies through offices located throughout the Upper Peninsula,” says Justin Miller, President of Green Timber.

Existing customers of both companies will retain their current account managers.

Gerald Grossman, President of Grossman Forestry, says that as a group they will continue to meet and exceed each client’s goals while expanding their knowledge base through expanded forest management capabilities.
