Simone Biles has a lot to celebrate in Paris this summer, but the record-breaking gymnast also took some time this week to celebrate her father’s birthday with a little help from Snoop Dogg.
The decorated Olympian shared on Instagram that her father Ronald celebrated his 75th birthday on August 8, complete with sparkly sunglasses and champagne. Her father’s birthday was made extra special by a new Death Row Records necklace given to her by 2024 Olympic commentator Snoop Dogg.
Her sister Adria Biles posted a photo on her Instagram story of a casual Ronald Biles proudly showing off his new jewelry. “Snoop gave him a chain now he doesn’t know how to act,” she wrote with a laughing emoji. See the photo below.
Snoop Dogg was everywhere in Paris: he performed as a torchbearer at the opening ceremony, swam with Michael Phelps and prepared for the closing ceremony, where he will perform. Alongside Snoop, Billie Eilish, Phoenix, Air and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform at the event, which will bring the festivities from Paris to Los Angeles, where the 2028 Olympic Games will be held.
Upon her return to America, Simone Biles will participate in the Gold Over America tour, a gymnastics event taking place in 30 stadiums across the United States this fall. Biles will be joined by other 2024 gymnastics favorites such as Jordan Chiles and Fred Richard – tickets are available here.
