IKEA’s autumn collections capture the coziness of the season

It’s August, which means we’re already approaching the end of summer and the autumn equinox in September. And with that change comes a time that all of us home decor fans and coziness lovers look forward to: fall and Halloween. Luckily, IKEA has already launched its KUSTFYR Halloween collection and its HÖSTAGILLE fall collection – and both are packed with cute, cozy and spooky decorations and more.

“Refresh your home for pumpkin spice season with IKEA’s new fall collection,” the store said in a press release. “It includes a variety of home textiles in bold fall patterns and warm colors, affordable seasonal home decor and high-quality kitchenware that’s perfect for any fall celebration! Everything is available at affordable prices.”

There are a few items specifically designed for the spooky season, such as a bat-shaped pillowcase, a spooky doormat and a ghostly serving bowl. And of course, there are pumpkins galore – from the set of five decorative pumpkins to the pumpkin tray and pumpkin candle. But as we’ve come to expect from so many IKEA collections, most of the items can be displayed year-round – and definitely for the entire season.

Take, for example, the tablecloth, pillowcase and storage box set, all of which feature the same vibrant pattern of colorful rose hips, buds and blooming roses that somehow feels autumnal without being over the top. The same goes for the red corduroy pillowcase, the black candelabra and the elegant and classic white cake tin.

One trend we find particularly fun is the scalloped edges IKEA has added to some of its dinnerware. This orange platter is perfect for presenting an apple or pumpkin pie, and the scalloped edges add a touch of excitement. And if you like those, you’ll love the scalloped side plates to eat your pie off of. The set of four includes four different colors (orange, green, purple, and yellow), all with the classic scalloped edge, for just $100 a pack. While they’re perfect for fall, nothing screams Halloween, so you can keep the plates around all year round.

No matter when you want to start decorating for the new season, IKEA has what you need – for fall, for Halloween and for the transitional weeks in between.
