Work is wrapping up on the expansion of Snøhetta’s Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska, ahead of its expected opening on September 10. Since our last update, construction has been completed on the new 38,000-square-foot Rhonda & Howard Hawks Pavilion, which founding partner Craig Dykers says will be “a vessel where inspiration and creativity can flourish.”

The project is part of a multi-billion dollar investment in downtown Omaha, for which the Joslyn is a major cultural anchor. The project, estimated to be worth $100 million, also includes renovations to the existing 1931 Art Deco Joslyn building. Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture is the design partner.

Here are two more teaser photos the museum just released showing details of the facade and interior.
