Hoda Kotb shared some snaps from her 60th birthday on Friday morning as she unwrapped presents with her family and enjoyed a day off from work at her beautiful Long Island beach house.
The Today host, who was recently reunited with her daughters after covering the 2024 Paris Olympics, appeared happy and relaxed as she celebrated her milestone birthday with her girls Haley, seven, and Hope, four.
In the first photo, an excited Hoda is seen holding up a gift she just opened, which appeared to be three individual necklaces, while Hope and Haley looked on in admiration with their hands resting on her legs.
Hoda, a mother of two, wore casual blue shorts and a loose T-shirt and sat on a device believed to be her mother’s walker at the dining table, surrounded by balloons.
In a second photo, Hope was seen holding a bunch of balloons, and in another snap, she was seen with her older sister, snuggling up to their grandmother, Hoda’s mother Sameha.

The last photo of the post, which Hoda captioned, “Great birthday morning!! Lucky me xoxoxo,” features Hoda’s brother Adel and another female relative.
Hoda’s 2.5 million followers were quick to comment on the post and send their well wishes. One person wrote: “Happy 60th. I hope your day is magical!” and another said: “Happy birthday to the best one around!!! I hope it’s as amazing as you!”
A third commented: “Happy birthday Hoda! Have a wonderful celebration with your beautiful family,” and a fourth added: “Happy birthday to one of the most amazing people out there!!”
Her NBC colleague Jacob Soboroff commented: “Happy birthday!” and Maria Schriver wrote: “Happy birthday my friend, I send you lots of love.”
Al Roker, the co-host of Hoda’s Today, posted a montage video of photos of their collaborations over the years and captioned it, “How can you not smile when you’re with @hodakotb? Happy birthday to someone who has shared laughter, tears and so much more with us. Love you.”
The Today Show’s official Instagram page also paid tribute to Hoda with several pictures of the TV star and the caption: “Happy 60th birthday to our favorite hack enthusiast and America’s cheerleader, @hodakotb!”
“We love you so much and can’t wait to celebrate with you. Don’t miss Hoda’s 60th birthday party live at the Plaza on Monday, August 12th!”
Over the past few years, Hoda has repeatedly stressed that her life has gotten better as she has gotten older – and she certainly wasn’t worried as she approached the age of 60.

Speaking about her birthday last year on “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” she said: “That’s the great thing I realized: I turned 59 this year and I’m so happy to be 59 this year.”
“I feel so good about it,” she admitted. “If you’re worried about aging – and I know aging is a thing – then 59 is just great.”
Hoda recalled closing her eyes to reflect on what life had given her, saying, “I thought to myself, ‘I’m 59 years old. I have two incredible children, my mother is here, my sister, my brother, my nieces, my sister-in-law,’ and I kept thinking, ‘I’m smiling. I’m closing my eyes and smiling.'”
“And when you do that, you know there’s a lot of good things coming your way. I have a feeling this year is going to be amazing.”
