The restaurant, which is open until midnight six days a week, is located in a renovated building that previously housed Big Daddy’s Famous Cheesesteaks.

Munchies owner Shaan Ehtram is excited to be able to provide fresh, high-quality food to the community, which he describes as “amazing and very supportive.”

“There is a lot of love in this community and we are happy to be a part of it,” Ehtram said.

“We are currently in the soft opening phase and have not advertised yet, but the first few weeks have been very busy. Word is getting around and we are getting great feedback from everyone.”

Ehtram describes Munchies’ cuisine as “casual American,” with popular dishes like Philly cheesesteak, chopped cheese sandwich, and a variety of chicken wings available in sauces like buffalo, BBQ, honey BBQ, mango habanero, garlic parmesan, sweet teriyaki, and Jamaican jerk.

The company’s best-seller is the Smashburger, a “freshly prepared and perfectly cooked burger” for $5.99, served with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles and a secret sauce.

A double smashburger with two patties and twice the cheese is also available for $7.99.

Other highlights on the menu include gyros (chicken, lamb, combo or falafel), rice platters (chicken, lamb, combo, tenders or falafel), fries platters (chicken, lamb, combo or tenders) and sides such as cheese fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks.

Rice platters include a choice of protein, rice, French fries, lettuce and sauce drops, while French fry platters include a choice of protein, French fries and sauce drops.

“Our platters are also very popular,” said Ehtram. “All the meat is halal.”
