Studio Aurawala pushes the boundaries of design and aesthetics without compromising on the basic functionality of a product. The company specializes in the production of furniture using the molding process. The brand draws inspiration from things that surround us and incorporates them into their design. From flora and fauna to natural phenomena such as the Northern Lights, these find their way into the design – for example, by mimicking the shape of a leaf or the anatomy of animals, cracks in a glacier and more in their furniture catalog.
Studio Aurawala handcrafts its furniture by local artisans in the brand’s own manufacturing facility. The company specializes in metal furniture made from materials such as brass, bronze and aluminum. The brand considers its furniture pieces to be works of art and also collaborates with designers and artists to bring individual ideas to life.
About the founder
Anil Jain is the visionary behind Studio Aurawala. After encountering disappointing home decor products, he founded the brand in Mumbai with a team of skilled artisans to produce a unique line of furniture including side tables, consoles, lamps and wall panels.
Jain, who holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst), worked briefly in the family business, but his passion for design was rekindled when he bought his new home. Unable to find suitable, high-quality decorative products, he collaborated with local artisans to design furniture and lighting products for his home, eventually creating Studio Aurawala.
