Questions we have after the RHONJ Rails Watch Party

Questions we have after the RHONJ Rails Watch Party

I wasn’t sure if the episode Off the Rails was a good substitute for a real Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion. But I didn’t expect to be left with more questions than answers. Rather than find out everything, I rewatched the finale, with some added commentary from the Garden State women. I’ve had some time to process what I’ve seen. But I need answers to the following questions about RHONJ.

Who, if anyone, will make it into the cast of RHONJ season 15?

At the end of the episode, Jennifer Fessler sang her own song, which ended with a line that showed that even the RHONJ cast was hoping for a 15th season. But with all the turmoil, I’m not sure any of them should come back. If I were a Bravo producer, this is how I would approach it. It may be an unpopular opinion, but I would let Teresa Giudice go. I can respect what she’s done for the franchise, but neither viewers nor Bravo can support the mother of four and her toxic stage presence anymore. Besides Tre, I’d have Jennifer Aydin right behind her.

After seeing the two rooms react differently to the finale, it was obvious that there was a clear division between good and evil. I would potentially take a risk and invite Margaret Josephs, Jenn, Rachel Fuda, and possibly Melissa Gorga back. The verdict is still out on Missy G, as she’s pretty dazed without Teresa to fight with. But it would be nice to see this group of women who actually seem to care about each other move forward in a positive light.

What did Dolores Catania mean when she suggested that she supported Luis Ruelas despite the rumors about her own child?

Dolores Catania’s argument with Marge only confirmed that the powers that be in New Jersey knew about the pre-reunion meeting. It was obvious that Dolo was still trying to protect the OG. But then something interesting happened. The women watched Luis Ruelas say some pretty vile things about Marge and her son, so Dolores had no choice but to tell Tre he was wrong. In the exchange, the former corrections officer noted that she had defended Luis on numerous occasions, but couldn’t stand by him in that moment. In a slip of the tongue, she said, “I’ve defended him a million times, even when it came to my own son.”

The cameras showed the revelations from Season 13, in which Frank Catania and Luis clashed over putting his son, Frankie Catania Jr., in a difficult position. Bravo showed Andy again, noting, “The last time we heard about it in Season 12, Frankie was working for Luis. What happened to that?” Dolores took over the narration, saying, “Luis gave my son a job. He was very happy to work with him. And I’m very grateful to Luis. I don’t know what that rumor is about, and I don’t want to talk about Frankie at all.” It was then that it became clear that something had happened between Frankie and Luis, and Dolores had decided then to cover it up.

How is Joe Benigno doing after his cancer scare during season 14 of RHONJ?

The husbands of RHONJ have become an extension of the franchise. Fans have grown to love the men as much as the women. So when Marge revealed that her husband Joe Benigno was undergoing tests to see if he had cancer, we were concerned. Bravo cameras caught several calls from the doctor, leaving both visibly distressed about the possible outcome. At the time, Marge revealed in her confessional prayer, “As soon as you hear the word ‘cancer,’ you think ‘Oh!’ Now I’m just like, OK, Joe needs to stay healthy. Nothing else matters.”

Although we didn’t get a resolution on the show, Margaret shared with Bravo that Joe had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Marge updated fans, sharing that doctors are “doing active surveillance and not treating it. He and I are both very strong and he’s a very strong man with it.”

Which of the RHONJ husbands are still talking to each other?

According to Instagram, all of the men still follow each other. But there is one exception. It seems that Joe Gorga is not following Bill Aydin. But the plastic surgeon is still following Joe. If the season taught us anything, it’s that the core group would have stuck together. Frank, Joe G, Joe B, John Fuda, and Nate Cabral are all probably a happy group. I hope Evan Goldschneider is still close with the guys, but his wife may have messed that up for him. And as for Bill, you can bet he’s under the thumb of his wife, who demands that he stand by her side.

Does Danielle Cabral regret saying on RHONJ that she wanted to “kill” Jennifer Aydin?

During the reunion, if you can even call it that, Danielle Cabral persisted, declaring that she regretted “not killing” Jennifer. Most likely, it was just the Staten Island mafia mentality talking, but the blonde had to deal with some backlash. While most fans understood her feelings and gave the star the benefit of the doubt, others wondered if she even regretted the thought. Since the episode aired, Danielle hasn’t made a statement on her social media. Instead, she’s been promoting her upcoming charity event, so it’s safe to assume that Danielle is sleeping pretty well at night.
