According to former IndyCar driver and F1 expert James Hinchcliffe, Lewis Hamilton is being “rewarded” for the time he spent experimenting with Mercedes setups over the past two seasons.

Mercedes struggled with performance when new technical regulations came into force in 2022 and has only recently recovered to a consistent top position.

Porsche announces its F1 intentions after the Red Bull saga

Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President of Motorsport at Porsche, has ruled out a return of the German manufacturer to Formula 1 following the company’s recent saga with Red Bull.

Two years ago, Porsche held talks with Red Bull about partnering with the team for the introduction of the new engine regulations in 2026.

Red Bull rejects infamous Mercedes comparison with problematic RB20

Red Bull’s chief engineer Paul Monaghan has dismissed comparisons between his troubled RB20 F1 car and Mercedes’ infamous ‘Diva’ machines.

Max Verstappen started his 2024 title defence strongly, the RB20 got off to a quick start with seven wins from the first ten races and the championship seemed almost certain for the Milton Keynes-based team, but the car is no longer the class of the field.

Antonelli reveals important phone call with Wolff

Mercedes F1 protégé Andrea Kimi Antonelli spoke about his experiences in a telephone conversation he had with Toto Wolff earlier this year.

Antonelli, who has been part of Mercedes’ junior program since 2019, is considered the favorite for a job at the Brackley-based team next year, where he will replace Lewis Hamilton, who is moving to Ferrari.

McLaren addresses concerns over F1 driver status

McLaren CEO Zak Brown has played down concerns about the future management of driver status in his F1 team.

The Woking-based team has been consistently at the front of the field for most of the current season, with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri securing their first race wins.

Leclerc reveals ‘reassuring’ element in Hamilton’s arrival at Ferrari

Charles Leclerc said Lewis Hamilton’s decision to sign with Ferrari had reassured him about the team’s future.

Hamilton will end his long-standing partnership with Mercedes at the end of the season and join the Italian team on a multi-year deal.
