A few weeks ago, Hilton announced more details on how the quarterly and semi-annual credits for the Hilton Aspire, Surpass and Business cards will work when booking stays at the new (to them) brands AutoCamp and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).
Following this post, some people had asked if it would be possible to redeem Hilton gift cards at these brands. We contacted Hilton to confirm if this would be possible and have now received a response. Unfortunately, the answer is not positive, although there is a glimmer of hope.
Purchasing Hilton gift cards has become increasingly popular since late 2023, so you might have heard a lot of people asking about it. The response we received from Hilton was as follows:
We understand that our Hilton Honors members and guests may have questions about using Hilton gift cards, especially as our partnerships with SLH and AutoCamp continue to grow. However, we want to clarify that Hilton gift cards are not currently accepted at SLH or AutoCamp locations.
As you can see, Hilton gift cards cannot be redeemed at either of these two brands, but the inclusion of the word “currently” in the last sentence gives a little hope that the partnership could eventually be developed to the point where gift cards can be redeemed at all new hotels in the Hilton portfolio.
However, you currently must redeem Hilton gift cards at other brands or pay fees at SLH and/or AutoCamp properties with your Hilton Business or Surpass card(s) to receive the $60 or $50 quarterly credits, respectively.
