Businesses in Mitchell, Scottsbluff, Gering and Morrill participated in the downtown window decorating contest to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Old West Balloon Fest. Judges were selected from a neighboring county to judge the window displays and storefronts. They went to the windows of all participating businesses in the communities to make their judgements.
Announcement of the winners of the window decoration competition in the three (3) jury categories:
• Riverstone Bank, Gering: Theme “Best Host Community”
• BigMack HVAC, Low: Optimal use of color
• Platte Valley Bank, Gering: Best Creative Presentation
• Compliments, Scottsbluff: Honorable Mention
The prizes were presented to the winning companies on Wednesday, August 7th.
The winner of each category will receive a paper balloon/ribbon to display in their store.
