John Mulaney talks about his recent marriage to actress Olivia Munn.

“I got married… it’s the best,” Mulaney said of his wedding during an interview Monday on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” with his mother-in-law, Kim Munn, in the audience.

“Marrying into a great Vietnamese family is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever done,” he said, before explaining the differences between his family and Munn’s.

“We’re tight-lipped about a lot of topics. Money, health, everything – almost everything is taboo,” Mulaney said. “The Luong family will talk about everything once they get to know you.”

He described Munn’s family as “the best.”

Munn and Mulaney have a two-year-old son named Malcolm, who was born on November 24, 2021.

Munn has been sharing glimpses of her family on Instagram, recently posting a sweet video of Malcolm fiddling with his fingers next to Mulaney, inadvertently making the same motion.

“Malcolm has been doing this since he was ten months old, but this is the first time I’ve been able to capture it,” she captioned the video showing father and son.

In September 2021, Mulaney told Meyers that he began dating Munn after splitting from his ex-wife, artist Anna Marie Tendler, in 2020.

Since they’ve been together, the pair have supported each other through life’s ups and downs. Munn revealed in March that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and had to undergo four surgeries. The “X-Men” actress has since said Mulaney has been by her side the whole time.

“He’s honestly just the best person. He approaches everything in life with so much compassion and understanding,” she told Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan. “But the problem is, he makes me laugh so much that sometimes I think, ‘You need to leave the room,'” she added.
