Aplantex’s biotech centers emphasize circularity

Aplantex reports that its green biotechnology industrial platform aims to produce the phytochemical ingredients required by the cosmetic, naturopathic, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries in large quantities, on-site, in all seasons and in a controlled environment. antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and anti-aging ingredients.

According to the company’s website, its vision is to use its proprietary green biotechnology platform with maximum efficiency to offer 90% of the active ingredients of plants – a nod to the importance of Aplantex (Any PLANT EXPRESSION).

“Our proprietary photosynthetic phytoreplicators are the basis of a stable biomass produced in vertical hydroponics using (minimal) water and fed in a cycle by a dosage of nutrient solution,” the company explained. The process uses renewable hydroelectric energy, supposedly produces no waste, and the plants capture and assimilate up to 40% of their dry weight in carbon from atmospheric CO2.2In this way, Aplantex contributes to the circular economy.

The company was honored to be named one of the top 10 Canadian biotechnology companies for 2024 by the editors of Life Sciences Review.
