USA Gymnastics argued Monday that the Center of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) would not consider new video evidence before it to reverse its decision to downgrade Chiles’ score from 13.777 to 13.666. USA Gymnastics further stated that it would seek to resolve the matter through all available legal avenues.

After she lost her bronze medal in the floor exercise final on August 5, the 65-year-old rapper shared a glimpse of the bronze watch necklace he made especially for her.

Flav posted a video of the medal on X on Monday, which features several bronze rhinestones on both the inside and outside of the watch, as well as bronze-colored hands at the 12:00 position.

He posted the video with the message “USA will fight the powerful, in the meantime I will always stand by my word @ChilesJordan,” alluding to the infamous song “Fight the Power” by his hip-hop group Public Enemy.

Jordan Chiles’ mother and internet users react to Falv’s sweet gesture

Chiles has stayed away from social media since the CAS announced its first ruling and the International Olympic Committee asked her to return her bronze medal.

Her mother, however, thanked the rapper and said it meant “everything” to her.

“Thank you. This means the world to me. As you can imagine, she is not on social media at the moment. I will share this with her,” wrote Gina Chiles.

Reacting to Flav’s post, one X user wrote, “You’re HIM!! Flav comes with the medal that’s made in America,” along with three heart emojis.

“Now that’s a medal!! Also unique. Flav has a heart of gold,” wrote another.

“Oh my god the bronze is so beautiful!” wrote the third user, while another commented: “It’s a special gift and you are the best!”

The former Public Enemy rapper made a name for himself supporting the U.S. women’s water polo team, offering his support when player Maggie Steffens asked for extra help for the team.

He also helped American discus thrower Veronica Fraley with her rent during the Games.
