In her recent article, “Vote Democrats for Democracy’s Health,” Erin Minette listed the usual party agenda. I would like to see presidential candidate Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party’s core agenda expanded to include the following additional policies. These policies must also be integrated into the agenda.
1) Initiate significant reforms within the Democratic Party
It is difficult to have a democracy if you eliminate competition
- No more exclusion of Democratic presidential candidates such as Bernie Sanders and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (Hilary lost to Trump due to intra-party machinations that hurt the most popular candidate, Bernie Sanders).
- Every Democrat must have an equal chance to run for president.
- Allow “all” candidates on the primary ballot. Include “all” in the debates. (Last election cycle, many Democrats were on the debate stage.)
- Stop pressuring social media platforms to censor voices that need to be heard.
- Protect First Amendment rights above all else.
- Without freedom of speech there is no Democratic Party and therefore no democracy.
2) Revision of US foreign policy
- Stop policing the world and forcing democracy on other countries.
- Negotiate with Russia for peace in Ukraine. (This was planned at the beginning of the war and was rejected by the current government.) Now half a million people are dead.
- Keep NATO away from the Russian border.
- Stop funding Israel with US taxpayer money. Netanyahu has gone rogue and will start a war with Iran. In that case, the US will not want to work with Israel.
- Stop AIPAC funding of American election campaigns. Campaign bribery!
- Negotiate a fair and equal life for Palestinians.
- ” Israel, which by the way was once their country. Nobody wants a two-party state.
- Initiate reparations for
- Palestinian land. RIGHT OF RETURN!
- Kamala Harris, an avowed feminist, must support the rights of Palestinian women.
- The dictionary definition of Semite includes “all” peoples and languages of the region. This includes the Palestinians. So if you call someone an anti-Semite,
refers only to Jews
3) Stop printing money to finance wars and reduce inflation
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the unwarranted gain of influence by the military-industrial complex, whether intentional or unintentional.” Dwight D. Eisenhower.
- Reduce the national debt by halving the military budget. The US will still have a larger military budget than Russia or China.
- Use the money to fund repairs to U.S. infrastructure, create jobs, improve educational opportunities, and more.
4) Protect the environment and clean up our toxic food system
Support sustainable, organic farming
- Eliminate toxic pesticides and RoundUp (glyphosate) from our food system.
- Limit the use of genetically modified (RoundUp Ready) crops.
- Don’t let pesticide companies limit their liability.
- Clean our rivers and lakes of polluters.
- Eliminate fracking offshore.
- Stop the transport of oil (pipelines) through indigenous areas (prevention of oil spills).
- Make sure that the drinking water in the city is safe.
- Implement organic school lunch programs. (Eliminate highly processed and sugary foods from school meals.)
5) Make the regulators (FDA & CDC) actually protect the public
Elimination of the biopharmaceutical complex
Create a firewall between the FDA, CDC and Big P
- harma. (no more pharmaceutical industry executives on the boards of FDA, CDC and NIH)
- Promote freedom of choice in the use of pharmaceutical products, as well as the protection of women’s right to choose (no compulsory vaccination).
- Revise the infant vaccination schedule. Initiate randomised controlled trials on vaccine safety.
- None of the vaccine doses that the CDC recommends for routine injection in children have been approved by the FDA based on a long-term placebo-controlled trial.See sources
- There are “zero” studies showing that childhood
d vaccines do not cause autism. We don’t have any data!
- Ensure that compensation for vaccine damage benefits those who have been harmed by vaccinations.
- Pass a new law allowing people injured by vaccines to sue pharmaceutical companies.

6) Eliminate the threat to national security at the border
- Stop all illegal entries. To do this, more resources must be available at the border.
- Deport anyone who sneaks in immediately.
- Create an optimized policy for integrating qualified applicants into the United States
- Make it a crime to transport illegal immigrants across state lines.
Pardoning prisoners convicted of minor drug offenses

- Pardoning whistleblowers/journalists who inform the American public about abuses
the government and the military. (Snowdon
- Manning, Assange and others).
- Protect whistleblowers.
8) Student loan forgiveness
No interest in new students
More opportunities for people to own property your home
- Pass laws preventing companies from buying up and renting out all the housing.
- Initiate government-subsidized home loans with low interest rates.
I would like to ask our Nevada County Democrats to make their voices heard at the upcoming convention. There is still much work to be done.
