Drama surrounding Blake Lively’s “It Ends With Us” director after argument in the editing room

“Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively hate each other”

There’s been a lot of drama surrounding Blake Lively and her new film It Ends With Us, based on the hugely popular novel by Colleen Hoover. People quickly noticed that director and Blake Lively’s co-star Justin Baldoni hasn’t really been doing much press for the film, and the cast hasn’t been taking many photos with him at the red carpet events for the film’s release – which hits theaters today. Now, more sources have come forward to say that the reason for the drama between Blake Lively and Baldoni over It Ends With Us is a huge argument in the editing room over the final cut of the film that was released. Big argument.

There are now rumors that the dispute began after Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni argued in the editing room over competing cuts for the final version of It Ends With Us. Allegedly, both Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni had a final version of It Ends With Us, and the drama came after both showed the cuts to test audiences. Apparently, Baldwin’s cut was better received by audiences – but Blake Lively took over. She had the final say because none other than Ryan Reynolds was rumored to “basically take over the movie and befriend writer Colleen Hoover to make sure her cut won.”

This is all rumors and gossip, but it is true that Ryan Reynolds was involved on set. Blake Lively herself said he came in and wrote a pivotal rooftop scene, although he did not work on the script. “The iconic rooftop scene was actually written by my husband,” Lively told E! News. “Nobody knows that except you now.” She continued, “He works on everything I do. I work on everything he does. So his victories and his celebrations are mine and mine are his.”

This has all been discussed at length by pop culture commentators and tinfoil hat-wearing movie fans. “You literally cannot convince me that Ryan Reynolds is not the reason for all this Justin Baldoni/It Ends With Us drama and I feel like Justin wants nothing to do with the drama and has chosen to step away from the PR events leading up to the film because of that,” pop culture TikToker Arianna Lillie said in a video. “And I’m not saying Blake Lively was particularly problematic, but I knew something was going on when I heard Ryan Reynolds was coming in and rewriting scenes of a film that Justin Baldoni is not only starring in but directing and is the sole reason this project is happening.”

Huge drama. And maybe all for nothing – It Ends with Us debuted with a mediocre Rotten Tomatoes score of just 57 percent. Certified spoiled.
