Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 55th birthday with a casual dinner with her mother and a group of friends in the Hamptons.
The Jenny From The Block star celebrated the milestone on Wednesday (7/24/24) — days after throwing a massive Bridgerton-themed costume party last weekend (7/20-7/21/24) — and the actress/pop star headed out to dinner at Nick + Toni’s in East Hampton that evening with her mother Guadalupe Rodríguez, her manager Benny Medina and several friends.
A source told the New York Post’s PageSix column: “(Jennifer dined) with five people… She was polite and nice to the staff… The owners seemed to know J.Lo was coming and let her sneak in through the back door to avoid the paparazzi outside the restaurant.”
“Several guests offered hearty toasts to the birthday girl… She looked happy. But she wasn’t dancing on the table; there was no noise.”
The source added that Jennifer’s husband Ben Affleck was not present at the dinner. He was also absent from her “Bridgerton” party.
Another insider added of the dinner: “The whole room sang ‘Happy Birthday’ as her tiered bright green cake was brought to the table.”
Other guests who dined at the restaurant at that time included Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria as well as Michael J. Fox and his wife Tracy Pollan.
Jennifer had previously sent her fans an emotional message thanking them for all the well wishes on her special day.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “Last night and this morning I saw all of your birthday wishes, beautiful videos and posts from all over the world. I laughed, smiled, shed a few tears and when I saw the billboard in Times Square I was completely overwhelmed.”
“I truly have the best and greatest fans in the world. I could never put into words how touched I am or how incredibly blessed I feel that you are all a part of my life. Thank you so much.”
She added: “It’s hard to believe we spent so much time together. It’s funny, as I sit here and reflect on this extraordinary journey, I still feel like the same girl who was so full of energy and bravery at the beginning, so ready to take on the world, and yet so tender, fragile and sometimes scared, but always full of love inside. I have so much love for you.
“I want you to know on my birthday that YOU are my greatest gift. Along with my family and friends, you have always been there for me through good times and bad. I can always count on you.
