Coffee County wins golf three-way battle

A three-team high school golf match was held Monday at Willowbrook in Manchester. Coffee County, Tullahoma and Shelbyville participated.

The Red Raiders boys took two wins with a score of 299 (top four scores) over the 18 holes. The Wildcats were close behind with 302 and the Golden Eagles scored 378.

Coffee County’s Jack Stowe played the round of the day, leading the Raiders to victory with a 2-under 70. Other scores for Coffee County included Noah Costello, 75, Landon Collins, 76, and Jaxon Phillips, 78.

Brody Fulmer had the lowest score for Tullahoma with 74 points. Other scorers for the Wildcats: Alex Miller and Keegan Taylor with 75 points and Jack Hill with 78 points.

Corbin Crowe led Shelbyville with a 5-over 77. Other Golden Eagle scorers: Seth Sharp, 92, Gabe Valasquez, 99, and Elijah Derryberry, 110.

Only Coffee County had enough players (2) to play a match. Leah Kate Sullivan shot 97 and Karsyn Riddle had a round of 133 for the Lady Raiders. Myla Dennis of Tullahoma shot 92 over the 18 holes.

From the Red Raider boys, results were also reported by Keller Hatfield (82), Levi Rossman and Carter Bell (87 each).

Hunter Hogan shot 79 for Tullahoma, teammate Caden Finchum shot 83, and Owen Weaver topped Willowbrook with 85 strokes.
