United Way of Greater Niagara launches 2024 campaign

The United Way of Greater Niagara’s 2024 campaign launched on Monday.

The annual campaign marks the beginning of an effort to raise money to support young programmers in both Niagara County and the City of Tonawanda.

“This year’s theme, ‘Give Back to the Future,’ reflects our commitment to addressing our community’s most pressing issues,” said Andrea Gray, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Niagara, in a statement. “When you contribute to this campaign, you are investing in programs that play a critical role in the lives of our children, programs that empower young minds and encourage their personal development.”

One program that receives funding from United Way to support its work is the Youth Empowerment for Aquatic Conservation program at the Aquarium of Niagara.

“The Aquarium is committed to developing the next generation of conservationists through high-impact educational experiences that expose young learners to the care of aquatic habitats and the challenges they face,” said Chad Fifer, president and CEO of the Aquarium of Niagara, in a statement. “The generous support from the United Way of Greater Niagara has allowed us to amplify our efforts, reach a broader audience of all ages and abilities, and ultimately advance our mission to inspire people to take action for our planet and the many incredible animals that call it home.”
