McFarlane Toys introduces new Green Lantern Corps figures

McFarlane Toys has introduced brand new Green Lantern figures as part of its DC Multiverse line. Green Lantern (Green Lantern Corps) McFarlane Collector Edition #22 will be available for pre-order soon.




The toy company announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the Green Lantern Collector’s Edition will be available for pre-order at select retailers on August 16 and will include head portraits of two legendary Corp members, Abin Sur and Tomar-Re. Perhaps best known as the predecessor to Hal Jordan (who was chosen as his successor through his ring), Abin Sur first appeared in the 1959 comic book by John Broome and Gil Kane. Shop window #22. He comes from the planet Ungara and is appointed by the Guardians as the Green Lantern of Space Sector 2814. The Xudarian Tomar-Re was created two years after Abin Sur by Broome and Kane and debuted in Greenlantern #6. A former scientist, he became the Green Lantern of Sector 2813.

The biggest Green Lantern variants of the DC multiverse

DC’s main universe is full of memorable Green Lantern characters like Hal Jordan, but the multiverse has also produced powerful variants.


McFarlane Toys has released a new Phygtail figure, currently available at select retailers, inspired by Green Lantern’s appearance in the DC Silver Age era. The 7-inch Hal Jordan figure is extremely posable and features 22 moving parts that allow for a wide range of poses and play. The toy comes with a power battery, two green flame effects, as well as additional hands and a display base. The figure came with a collectible art card and a digital authentication code that can be redeemed for a digital collectible from McFarlane Toys. It will then be added to a virtual showroom where fans can display their figures and view them in 3D.



Other current DC Multiverse figures from McFarlane Toys

McFarlane Toys recently introduced a brand new DC Multiverse 2-piece set inspired by the cult classic Batman forever. Available for pre-order on August 15, the 2-pack comes with lights and sounds. It includes a figure of Batman’s closest ally, Alfred Pennyworth, inspired by the portrayal of legendary British actor Michael Gough in the 1995 film. The pack also includes the Batmobile, which seems to have come straight out of the film by Joel Schumacher. It features Batman foreverstylized design with the bat symbol on the wheels and the neon green lights of the car.

The toymaker also unveiled a new DC Multiverse Azrael Batman Armor figure. The figure is a 7-inch-tall, highly detailed figure of Azrael, complete with intricately designed wings, gauntlets, a special blue and red cowl, and armor with gold accents. The Azrael figure is listed as one of McFarlane Toys’ Platinum Edition figures, and its EQL launch is for a special pursuit variant with blue wings.

The brand new Green Lantern Corp Collector Edition from McFarlane Toys can be pre-ordered from select retailers starting August 16th.
