GREEN BAY – A well-known sports bar on Green Bay’s east side is for sale.
Pauly G’s, 1803 Main St., next to Pick ‘n Save, is listed online and hopes to find a new owner soon. Paul Koehn, the bar’s owner, said he is retiring to spend more time with his family. The bar was built in 1948, but he said it is in great condition and is listed for $499,900.
Koehn started working part-time at the bar in 1977 while attending school. He later became a manager and then a partner until he bought out his business partner and paid him off in 2008.
“I’ve been in this business for over 40 years,” he said. “Now I’ve saved enough money, I can retire.”
The 3,196-square-foot property is being sold with almost everything in it, including behind-the-bar refrigerators, a glass refrigerator and a dishwasher. Outside, there’s a large fenced-in area with a 12-by-12-foot patio, porch and seating area, and a horseshoe pitch. The basement has storage and office space, including a large walk-in cooler, washer and dryer and more, the listing says.
