The Bookseller – Rights – Simon & Schuster publishes Bob Woodward’s WAR

Simon & Schuster has announced that it will publish the new book by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Bob Woodward later this year. War tells the revealing story of three wars behind the scenes: in Ukraine, in the Middle East and in the battle for the American presidency.

Jonathan Karp acquired the world and audiobook rights to War by Robert Barnett of Williams & Connolly LLP. It will be published on October 15, 2024.

War is a report on one of the most turbulent and dangerous periods in presidential politics and American history, with Trump, Biden and Harris at its center.

With his behind-the-scenes reporting, Woodward shows President Biden’s approach to dealing with the war in Ukraine and his path to containing the bloody Middle East conflict between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas.

Jonathan Karp, President and CEO of Simon & Schuster, said: “His work on the power of the presidency is unrivaled. WarWoodward illustrates the dramatic contrasts between Donald Trump and his opponents in the battle for the presidency – Joe Biden and Kamala Harris – and makes the book a must-read before heading to the polls.”

Woodward is co-editor of Washington Post where he has worked for more than 50 years. He has won two Pulitzer Prizes, one for his coverage of Watergate and the other for his coverage of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
