Madonna has shared a heartfelt tribute to her eldest son Rocco Ritchie on the occasion of his 24th birthday. The Queen of Pop took to Instagram to mark the occasion, posting a touching collection of 20 photos and videos spanning Rocco’s life from childhood to his present-day self.
In her emotional post, Madonna reflected on their complex relationship, describing it as a “long and winding road” full of challenges and surprises. She acknowledged the ups and downs they’ve experienced, but stressed that Rocco’s artistic nature has created a strong bond between them. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROCCO,” she wrote. “Your curiosity and artistic soul have been the glue that has held us together.”
The carousel of images included recent photos of Rocco, including a sweet moment where he hugs Madonna and kisses her on the forehead. The collection also included snapshots that showed his evolving hairstyles and artistic creations over the years. The final image in the series captured a peaceful moment of mother and son enjoying a boat ride together.

Earlier this year, Madonna celebrated Rocco’s artistic achievements at his art exhibition in Miami. The event featured his Muay Thai fighter-inspired collection “Pack a Punch.” Madonna expressed her pride, saying, “I’m so happy to have the evening off to enjoy my son Rocco’s latest collection of paintings.”
Madonna and Rocco have a special relationship and her message reflected their deep connection. She ended her tribute with a deep gratitude: “Thank God for Art. Thank God for you. We have been together for many lifetimes. Thank you for choosing me again. I love you – forever.”
Rocco is the son of Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie. In addition to Rocco, Madonna is also mother of Lourdes Leon, 27, Chifundo “Mercy” James, 18, David Banda, 18, and 11-year-old twins Estere and Stella.
