Cena has been an ambassador for WWE, representing the sport worldwide and in partnership with others. Earlier this year, Cena was promoting Manchester City’s US tour and discussions arose about whether Cena is a football fan and which team he supports. In a recent interview, Cena talked about his favorite team in the Premier League.

John Cena recently gave an interview to talkSPORT’s Shebahn Aherne, where he was asked which Premier League team the 16-time champion supports and if he has a championship team on his side.
Cena then said that he was always looking for a team. Most people say he is a Tottenham fan and a Chelsea fan, but he is still looking for a team. Cena is still trying to understand the game and the rivalries and asked for a good pitch that he can listen to.
John Cena said:
“I always say I’m looking for a team. Everyone says I’m a Tottenham fan, there have been rumours I’m a Chelsea fan. I say I’m looking for a team. I’m still trying to understand the game and the rivalries, so if you have a good pitch, I’m ready to listen.”
Shebahn Aherne, who has been a Celtic fan all her life, said that Glasgow Celtic had the best fan base in the world. She said that if Cena walked the streets he would easily find a Celtic bar and tried to convince him to become a Celtic fan.
To which Cena said it was a decent pitch. Cena said he’s from Boston and their basketball team is the Celtics, so the Celtics will be at the top of his list when it comes to supporting a football team.
John Cena said:
“That’s a good shot. I’m from Boston and our basketball team is called the Celtics. So I’m putting that at the top of the list.”
