No surprises in the KU wide receiver room

LAWRENCE, Kansas (WIBW) – A receiver room that brings a lot of experience, and they still have one more round to go together.

Lawrence Arnold Jr., Quentin Skinner and Luke Grimm are the big three in this room. As Grimm put it, they all grew up together and enjoy every moment because it goes by so quickly.

Wide receivers coach Terrence Samuel said there are no surprises in his room. After this 9-4 season and a bowl win, they want to be in this College Football Playoff.

The new saying the guys are using now is “AD,” which means “all day,” especially now that Jalon Daniels is healthy again.

A group ready for another great season.

“I see what I think you can do, and the most important thing is that you exceed my opinion. I want you to go beyond my opinion,” Samuel said.

“We all sat down (without the coaches) and talked to each other. We know what our goals are, we know where we want to go. The only thing that can stop us is not talent, not coaching, nothing else. We just want to make it,” said Arnold.

“That was the main thing. This offseason, a lot of guys have gotten so much faster. Then you put the pads on and you’re running with no pads instead of playing in the game. A lot of the guys in our room just play at a high game speed. It’s fun to see guys just race past posts and stuff,” Grimm said.

The first home game will take place on August 29th at Children’s Mercy Park against Lindenwood.
