Duckworth Worcestershire Trust sells Chapter Meadows

The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust (DWT) has sold Chapter Meadows after a difficult period.

The riverfront property has been owned by the trust for more than 25 years.

The trust announced the sale to philanthropist Tom Greenway and his publisher 3DTotal Publishing on August 9.

3dtotal Publishing was founded in Worcester in 1999 and currently employs 17 people.

Her books and magazines are sold worldwide and focus on art and design.

In recent years the Trust has faced a number of challenges which have led to the closure of some of its operations.

Mr Greenway plans to continue DWT’s legacy and recognises the importance of the site to the people of the region.

He plans to increase the ecological value of Chapter Meadows and improve public access.

Mr Greenway hopes to achieve this by working with volunteer groups such as the Worcester Environmental Group (WEG).

Beatrice Duckworth, widow of Trust founder Cecil Duckworth, said: “We were happy to sell the site to Tom because, like Cecil, he is a successful local businessman who wants to have a positive impact on nature and people.”

She added that they had looked at several options and that we felt the site was in very safe hands for the future.

The trust also announced that proceeds from the sale will be distributed to projects and community groups.

The DWT intends to set up a joint grant program in the coming months.

The program provides grants for projects aimed at improving the natural environment and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.

The DWT was founded in 1998 by businessman and philanthropist Cecil Duckworth.

The company has played a crucial role in the city through environmental improvement projects.

In addition, it managed several natural assets in the city, including Chapter Meadows.

Under DWT’s ownership, the Trust has undertaken a programme of restoration projects.

The works included clearing ditch, replanting native hedges along the original boundaries and erecting bridges, livestock fencing, access gates and a flood level indicator.

Chapter Meadows was originally owned by Worcester Priory since at least the 13th century.
