It’s official, folks! Alexis Bellino And John Janssen are engaged. It’s the latest surprising update in the whirlwind romance that has rocked The Real Housewives of Orange County.
For those of you who have been counting at home, it only took nine months for John to propose to her. Interestingly, they cite their failed relationships in the past as the reason why their partnership is blossoming.
Alexis confirmed the engagement with a sweet post on her Instagram. She uploaded a picture of herself and John with both of them wearing big smiles. The only thing bigger than John’s grin was the huge rock on Alexis’ finger.

“On cloud 9 (party emoji)❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ celebrating 9 months of love and laughter and looking forward to my forever with you,” Alexis wrote under the photo. “Every moment together was a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we are building together. And the answer is 100000000% yes.”
In a statement to People, a rep for the RHOC couple confirmed that it was true love. Alexis and John got engaged on Tuesday, August 27, while celebrating their nine-month “anniversary.” The two were taking a trip to San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, when he proposed.
“John and Alexis are happily engaged and look forward to their long future together as husband and wife,” the spokesperson confirmed.
Of course, it seems like only yesterday that John was in a serious relationship with Shannon Beador. Plus, Alexis was engaged to her ex for three years before breaking up in September 2023. When John and Alexis met by chance on The Quiet Woman, they bonded over their broken hearts. Now they have found happiness together.
“The two have been a huge support as they navigate life as newly singles,” a source close to the couple explained. “This shared background and mutual attraction has made it easy for Alexis and John to form a natural connection.”
