  • The event will take place on August 31st from 11am to 8pm.

More than 40 artists will be selling their original artwork and crafts at the festival. Eight bands, including headliner Into the Now, will play live during the day-long festival. Live performances at the event include jazz, acoustic guitar, a blues swing group, singer-songwriters, 80s dance music and an African drum performance.

“It’s a labor of love for us. We don’t make any money. It’s all sponsorship based. I contacted all the Irondequoit businesses. We all thought it was a great idea and something we really wanted to have in the Irondequoit community,” said Chris Blaine, co-founder of the Irondequoit Arts & Music Festival. “We all have the experience of mixing it all together and making a festival. We thought last year was successful and we’re going to build on that.”

“We just love bringing original art dealers and live bands together. There are so many talented musicians in the Rochester area,” added Craig Foster, co-organizer of the event.

The second annual Irondequoit Arts & Music Festival takes place this Saturday at I-Square in Bakers Park on Titus Ave.
