Taylor Swift won’t be putting her feet up any time soon.

After completing the European leg of their record-breaking journey Epoch Tourreleased a brand new album and last year released their concert film, the Daily Mail reported that the international pop sensation is now preparing to publish her debut novel – a project she has been putting off for nearly a decade.

Titled A girl named GirlThe novel was written by Swift when she was just 14 years old. The story is about a mother who wished for a son instead of a daughter, and although she wrote the novel in her teens, it remained under wraps – until now.

The draft, initially believed to be in the custody of her parents, was never released. However, in 2015, the multiple Grammy winner finally secured the trademark rights to the name.

Swift revealed her passion for writing before her pop stardom during her Now Speak Tour in 2012.

“All my friends were in Pennsylvania, so I had nothing to do,” she told the crowd. This time off led to her revelation that she wanted to be a novelist.

As Taylor continues her tour in November with stops in Toronto and Vancouver, fans eagerly await the possible release of her debut novel, as well as other projects such as the highly anticipated re-recording of her 2017 album. Call.
