Frontier Airlines reports that a passenger wanted to bring a squirrel on board because it was her emotional support animal. The airline does not allow “rodents” on board, including squirrels.

Airlines are offering more and more connections from Arizona to the Golden State. Frontier Airlines has resumed flight operations to San Jose, including a route from Phoenix. Tucson will receive not one but two new flights to Sacramento in 2025.
Now, Frontier has started service at another California airport, including flights to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The new flight was part of an announcement of 11 new routes to 15 airports across the country, scheduled to launch in October and November.
“As consumers look forward to the fall and winter months and make their vacation plans, we are excited to once again expand our offering of convenient and affordable travel options,” said Josh Flyr, Frontier’s vice president of network and operations design, in a statement.
Frontier, an ultra-low-cost carrier, has significantly expanded its network in Phoenix since opening a crew base at Sky Harbor in November 2022. However, the airline has also quietly eliminated underperforming routes; for example, it suspended flights between Phoenix and Missoula, Montana, after just three months.

When do Frontier flights depart from Phoenix to Burbank?
Frontier Airlines’ new flights from Phoenix to Burbank, California, begin November 21.
The airline operates one arrival and one departure flight four days a week, with the days varying from week to week. Most weeks, flights operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Frontier will operate five flights on this route during the week before Christmas (December 15-21), Sunday through Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
How much do Frontier flights from Phoenix to Burbank cost?
Flights from Phoenix to Burbank start at $19. Remember that Frontier charges low base fares with additional fees for seat reservations, carry-on and checked baggage, and other amenities.
A fare search revealed that the cheapest prices for flights to both cities were available on most days that did not fall on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
