Wyoming has no shortage of long, seemingly endless stretches of highway – and fortunately, there are also many hidden gems. But for most people, coffee is a must on those long drives. Of course, if you’re driving through Cody, Wyoming and are craving a dose of caffeine, you can stop by any gas station and grab a black coffee. Or you can head to The Station on 84, where the gas station coffee concept is given a new lease of life! The Station is owned and operated by Cody Coffee Co. (which you’ve most likely heard of). It’s one of CCC’s two standalone cafes, but it has a twist: It’s located in a converted gas station, complete with a funky, eclectic atmosphere. Here you can fill up on caffeine, sweet treats, and great company, plus enjoy a healthy dose of vintage nostalgia.
People used to come to this humble gas station in Cody, Wyoming, to fill up their tanks. Now they come here for a morning fix of top-notch coffee.
When you arrive at The Station, you might do a double take. The place still has the classic gas station atmosphere, but instead of the smell of gasoline, you’ll be greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Now that’s a thrill!
The unique ambience immediately suggests that a unique experience awaits you. The interior is an eclectic mix of vintage and modern.
Think retro signs, comfortable seating and a barista bar that’s as chic as a freshly washed windshield.
Where else can you sip a freshly brewed latte under a Texaco sign?
The menu is equally impressive, offering everything from classic drip coffee to fancy cold brews and whipped cream blends. And since everything is roasted in small batches by Cody Coffee Co., you know this cool cafe is miles ahead of the competition!
Whether you’re a black drip purist or a frothy latte lover, this is the place for you. And if you’re feeling adventurous, try their Nitro Cold Brew – it’s like a caffeinated hug for your taste buds.
But the best part? The crêperie! The station serves both sweet and savory crêpes, all made to order.

First, enjoy the spicy, Sriracha-infused flavor of the Firefighter or the refreshing avocado in the Turkeygurkin.
Then try something sweet with the California Dreaming (banana, strawberries, Nutella, whipped cream) or the Elvis (banana, bacon, peanut butter).
Trust us, whatever you choose, these handy delicacies are worth the detour.
The menu also includes sandwiches made from regional products, tempting salads, fresh smoothies and creative specialties, and almost everything is also available as a gluten- and lactose-free alternative.
But this old gas station, which once supplied fuel to thirsty cars, is not only a hub of high-octane energy for people inside. The atmosphere continues outside too. Where the old gas pumps once stood, there is now a covered terrace with numerous tables.
When the weather is nice or the sun goes down, there is nothing better than sitting outside and watching the world rush by.
Use the drive-in if you’re short on time…
…or grab a bag of beans to take with you on the go.
But trust us, you’ll want to make it more than just a pit stop! Because let’s face it, every road trip needs a little coffee boost.
All in all, The Station is Cody’s answer to the daily grind and this gas station cafe is one of the coolest places to enjoy your cup of coffee with a view. And if you follow social media, you’ll find plenty of special events, concerts and fun happenings throughout the year.
