Notting Hill Music signs long-term publishing deal with breaking band The K’s | Publishing

Notting Hill Music has announced the signing of a long-term exclusive publishing deal with The K’s.

It’s been a great year so far for the up-and-coming band. In April, they hit the top five with their debut ‘I Wonder If The World Knows?’ – it opened at number 3 and has since sold 21,875 copies, according to the Official Charts Company.

Since then they have had notable appearances at the Isle of Wight, Camp Bestival and Kendal Calling festivals in early summer, while their actual signing with Notting Hill Music came after their main stage appearances at the Reading and Leeds festivals.

John Saunderson, creative director of Notting Hill Music, said of the deal: “From the first moment we heard The K’s, we knew we had to sign this band. They are a generational talent and we are so excited to see how far and how fast they go from here.”

Managing director Dave Loader added: “We’ve signed groundbreaking artists a few times in our history: Paul Weller at the beginning of our journey, then Dizzee Rascal and Robbie Williams spring to mind and our feeling for The K’s is at that level.”

Earlier this year, Notting Hill Music signed a long-term worldwide publishing deal with producer and writer Ian Barter.
