The Duke of Sussex has been confirmed to be traveling to New York this fall.
Just a few days after his 40th birthday.th On his 15th birthday on September 15, Prince Harry will be in the Big Apple during the UN General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week, which take place from September 22 to 29.
A spokesman for the Duke said he “will be in town to advance a number of his sponsorships and philanthropic initiatives.”
The statement continues: “He will be taking part in engagements with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award and Travalyst. In addition, he will be promoting the work of the Archewell Foundation, the non-profit organisation he co-founded with his wife Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Further details will be announced as we approach the week of the event.”
It has yet to be confirmed when Harry will arrive in New York, but Prince William’s Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit will also be held in the city on September 24.
While the Prince of Wales travelled to New York for the summit last year, Kensington Palace has not yet announced whether William will attend the event in 2024.
Harry’s latest trip comes just weeks after his and Meghan’s four-day visit to Colombia earlier this month, which focused on digital safety for young people, women’s empowerment and mental health.
The Sussexes, who live in Montecito, California, last visited New York in October 2023 when they hosted the Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit, which focused on mental wellbeing in the digital age. Take a look back in the clip below…
They have now launched The Parents’ Network – an initiative that aims to provide parents with a safe and free support network to help those whose children have been harmed by social media.
And in May 2023, Harry and Meghan were involved in a “near-catastrophic chase” with paparazzi, as a spokesperson described it, after the Duchess was honored at the 50th Ms. Foundation Awards.th Anniversary gala.
