Groom tragically dies in an accident one day before the wedding

In Manhattan, a groom-to-be tragically died one day before his wedding. According to the New York Post, Kirk Walker was killed in a wrong-way driving accident in Harlem. The 38-year-old, father of three, had just celebrated his bachelor party before marrying Shauntea Weaver.

Unfortunately, his Dodge Challenger collided head-on with a pickup truck that was traveling in the wrong direction. Both Walker and his cousin Rob McLaurin died in the accident.

“I should be wearing my wedding dress right now – not grieving,” Weaver told the newspaper. “I feel like this is a TV show and I’m going to wake up any minute and go back to my real life. I’ve had a different feeling every hour since it happened.”

According to Weaver, she and Walker were scheduled to have their big ceremony at the Royal Manor in Garfield, New Jersey. “Our ceremony was scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. today – in a few hours,” Weaver explained. “He died 24 hours before our wedding. This is devastating, and not just for me. He has three children who loved him immeasurably. They are heartbroken that their father has been taken from them.”

The couple had started a successful car rental business. Weaver confirmed that Walker had put everything he had into the business. “He was such a generous, hard-working man. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Such a hard worker.”

Despite her immense pain and grief, Weaver is demanding justice for Walker’s wrongful, sudden death. “The investigators looked me straight in the face and said they would do anything to get justice. They told me the driver left his DNA on the airbags. So they did. Also, the passenger is in the hospital with broken legs and needs to speak out,” Weaver said.

“Two people died in a reckless car crash. They must pay for killing two innocent people. Nothing will bring him back. But we are seeking justice.”
