Big spins and the big Mega Millions jackpot are the highlights of the week

This week's winners: Lottery players in Charlotte Hall, Dundalk and Frederick win the week's biggest prizes

BALTIMORE— The Mega Millions jackpot swelled to $575 million in Tuesday’s drawing because no one matched all six numbers. Still, three Maryland players won $10,000 third-tier prizes in the multi-state game, one each from Rockville, Waldorf and Williamsport.

Meanwhile, two scratch card players bought the $5 package The big spin They took turns at the wheel and won $150,000 on a game between District Heights and $125,000 on a game between District Heights and Baltimore.

Across Maryland, the lottery paid out more than $28.8 million in prizes in the seven days ending August 26. During that period, 32 tickets valued at $10,000 or more were also sold or redeemed.

Winners of prizes over $25,000 must claim their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes up to $5,000 can be claimed at over 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to $600 in value.
