On Sunday, Penn State’s graduating class of 2028 made its way to Rec Hall for the annual “Be A Part From The Start” pep rally. The newest group of Penn Staters learned different chants, how to join in, and many of the traditions Penn State has to offer.

Students were greeted with lots of energy, shakers, and of course t-shirts. Excitement was building as their first weekend at Penn State came to a close and classes began the next day.

First up were the cheerleading squad and the Lionettes, getting the crowd jumping with their numbers that rocked the Rec Hall while the Nittany Lions welcomed the Class of 2028 with 28 push-ups.

Numerous clubs and organizations were on site and informed the first-year students about the opportunities available to new students and how they can get involved.

The football teams, the women’s and men’s basketball teams and the women’s ice hockey team aroused great expectations for the upcoming season.

“We can’t hear you!” The Blue Band led the students in numerous chants and dances that they will surely use at upcoming football games.

At the end of the evening, the class of 2028 sang the Alma Mater together.
