Each story highlights Dudley’s strength in being an overcomer, the love he and his wife shared and that she still feels to this day, and the unforgettable legacy he left behind. It’s a relatable reminder that you can’t control life’s hardships, but you can persevere and overcome obstacles.
When asked what inspired the author to write this book, Sims said, “My husband Dudley started the book but died before he could finish it. He was my inspiration. He was a wonderful and kind man, husband and father.”
Andrea K. Sims is a mother and great-great-grandmother. She worked with her husband Dudley until he died. She did the bookkeeping and went everywhere with her husband to buy real estate. They enjoyed it together. One of the last projects she and Dudley did together was to start a ranch with lots of black cattle. Since she was 80, Sims has enjoyed creating original oil paintings and designing and building things. Now, at 90, with God’s help, she is looking forward to being recognized as a published author.
