Jaehyun of boy band NCT will release his debut solo album “J” on Monday night, after hosting a listening party earlier that day.
Jaehyun will host a listening party titled “Jaehyun, Vol. 1” from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, ahead of the release of “J.” The NCT member will hand out drinks he personally mixed to “match the vibe” of the new album.
The album includes a total of eight tracks: Korean and English versions of the song “Smoke,” “Roses,” “Flamin’ Hot Lemon,” “Dandelion,” “Completely,” “Easy,” and “Can’t Get You.”
“Smoke” is a hip-hop R&B track with rhythmic bass and guitar riffs, whose lyrics compare a loving moment in a car with your significant other to “smoke rising from a boom box.”
“It’s a good album to listen to in the late afternoon and at dawn, just before the sun comes up,” Jaehyun said in a press release.
Jaehyun debuted as a member of the boy band NCT U in 2016 with the digital single “The 7th Sense”. He is currently a member of several NCT subgroups, including NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT Dojaejung.
