Vanessa Bryant honored her late husband Kobe Bryant in a special way on his birthday this Friday. On Kobe’s 46th birthday, Vanessa shared a throwback photo on Instagram.

In the photo, young Vanessa and Kobe are very close together, Vanessa kisses Kobe on the cheek and the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard grins radiantly. Sade’s “No Ordinary Love” creates a romantic mood.
“I love you now, forever and ever,” read the caption of the post.
After the tragic deaths of Kobe and his daughter Gianna in January 2020, Vanessa continued to share memories of her time with the two.
Earlier this month, Vanessa attended the unveiling of three new statues modeled after Kobe and Gianna, all located outside the Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Center.
This weekend, Vanessa will be participating in the second annual Mamba League Invitational, which will take place on August 23 (Kobe’s birthday) and 24, a tribute to the jersey numbers – 8 and 24 – that Kobe wore throughout his career with the Lakers.
At the Mamba League Invitational, high school basketball players from across the United States showcase their basketball skills on a court inspired by Kobe’s “Mamba Mentality.”

While Kobe may not live to see the next generation of great basketball players carry on his legacy, the Mamba Mentality lives on.
