(Friendship, ME) Photographer Thomas Petzwinkler fills the Salt Pond Studio Gallery with “Chasing the Moment,” 24 photographic works that illustrate specific moments of crystal-clear perception that he experienced during his travels through Maine.
Visitors are cordially invited to attend the opening ceremony of his show on Saturday, August 31st, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Thomas is an art educator, sculptor, and landscape, travel, and documentary photographer/filmmaker based in Maple Juice Cove in Cushing, Maine. Thomas has spent the last 25 years teaching, traveling, and exhibiting worldwide. His background in art history, sculpture, film, and documentary photography now informs the grandeur and dynamism of his Maine-made photographs, portraying a stillness, calm, and solitude that belies their subject. Thomas’ obsession with craft, pursuit of technical perfection, and dedication to artistic intent in the photographic process combine to enhance the expression of the photographer’s inner voice and signature style.
