JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Regional Medical Center announces the opening of its new Well-being Room, a dedicated space designed to increase employee well-being and job satisfaction.

Made possible through the support of the JRMC Foundation and the vision of the JRMC Well-being Committee, this tranquil retreat reflects the organization’s commitment to fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Completed on August 5, the Well-being Room is a direct response to employee feedback collected through comprehensive health surveys.

“At JRMC, we are committed to supporting the resilience of our employees as they care for our community. We are excited to offer our new Wellness Space, which provides comfort and well-deserved space for relaxation and rejuvenation,” said Tonya Perkins, Director of the JRMC Foundation.

Designed to promote relaxation and mindfulness, the wellness room features a massage chair, a calming atmosphere through soft lighting and gentle air circulation, and amenities such as a door barrier for privacy, modern decor, and a yoga mat.

“Our employees are the heart of JRMC,” said Trisha Jungels, JRMC’s chief nursing officer. “By providing them with a dedicated space to relax and reduce stress, we are investing in their overall health and well-being, which ultimately benefits our patients and the community we serve.”

Employees are encouraged to use the Wellbeing Room during their breaks for short moments of peace to clear their heads and recharge their batteries.

According to the Well-being Committee, the project aims to improve the overall work experience of employees and ensure that they feel valued and supported every day. The committee is dedicated to planning, promoting and implementing wellness programs to improve employee health and reduce health risks. By promoting a culture of well-being, the committee aims to increase employee satisfaction and create a healthier workplace for everyone.

JRMC has received seven Best Places to Work awards and continues to place a high priority on employee happiness and well-being. Those interested in joining the team can learn about open positions at jrmcnd.com/careers.
