Janmashtami is celebrated on Monday, August 26th and all the celebrants have their preparations in full swing. This holy day, also known as Gokulashtami, is celebrated by us as Lord Krishna’s birthday, according to legend. Devki’s 8th son, Lord Krishna, is said to be born on the 8th day of the dark half of the month of Bhadrapada, which falls in August/September.
