Happy birthday to former First Lady Michelle Obama, who turns 60 today. To mark the occasion, her husband, the former President of the United States, shared a very special photo to celebrate the day, and the pure joy this snap brings us could carry us all through the rest of the week. In the photo, shared by Barack on X, Michelle can be seen enjoying the golden hour of sun in a flowing spaghetti strap dress. She has braided her hair into long pigtails and completed the look with hoop earrings.

While Barack didn’t specify where (or when) the photo was taken, it looks like a tropical paradise in the background, and Michelle took the shot just steps from a swimming pool. Wherever that is, we’d love to get there ASAP.

For her part, Michelle also wished Barack a happy birthday on his big day in August when he turned 62.

“Happy birthday, my dearest, most thoughtful guy,” Obama wrote in a post which was also shared on X. “Love you forever, @BarackObama,” she said, showing a snap of the ex-president in a thoughtful pose. Obama Foundation supporters also received a birthday email encouraging them to “send Barack a message explaining how you are making a difference in your community” or “make a donation to the Obama Foundation to help us empower the next generation of leaders and bring the Obama Presidential Center to life.”
