At 27, Lydia Ko has had one of the best careers in LPGA history. In 2016, she won silver in Rio. Five years later, she took bronze in Tokyo. And on Saturday, Ko won the gold medal in Paris and a place in the LPGA Hall of Fame, arguably the most difficult hall to get into in the sport.
Ko sank a birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole to secure her two-stroke lead over Esther Henseleit from Germany won silver. Xiyu Lin from China took home bronze.
At the beginning of her career, Ko stated that she wanted to retire at age 30. Will she play for a few more years or will she retire now that she’s made it into the Hall of Fame?
