ROCK FALLS, Ill. (KWQC) – Enjoy a day of wonderful art, live music and delicious food at an upcoming event in Rock Falls.
The seventh annual Art in the Park Outdoor Art Gallery and Sculpture Walk will be held Saturday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at RB&W District Park, 201 E. 2nd St. in Rock Falls.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see for the first time nine new sculpture installations that will remain in the park for one year. These new additions will join the four permanent sculptures already on site.
The artists of these creations live throughout the United States, including Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, New York, Wisconsin and Indiana.
Additionally, there will be an outdoor art gallery to explore, featuring works by 19 regional artists from Iowa and Illinois. The artists will be selling original, hand-crafted pieces such as gourd art, paintings, sculptures, stained glass, garden art and more.
Four musicians will play in the park’s amphitheater throughout the day. They include Pat Jones, Shaylyn O’Laughlin, Todd Lorenc and Chris Blum.
As for the food options, Toni’s Smokin’ Grill, Ka-Bao!, Brito’s and Main Squeeze will be serving tasty bites throughout the day.
