Big Sean releases sketches with Jordan Howlett and confirms album delay

The highly anticipated new album from rapper Big Sean Better than you was supposed to be released on Friday, but instead the rapper confirmed the album’s delay on Instagram through a series of skits with content creator Jordan Howlett.

“So the album didn’t come out tonight,” said Big Sean in the first sketch, looking in the mirror. Howlett is called out of nowhere.

Howlett took responsibility for the album not coming out, saying in another video, “The album is not coming out tonight. And I know what you’re thinking: ‘Why Jordan? Why not?’ It’s my fault. It’s my fault.”

Big Sean’s new single “On Up” exudes what the rapper calls “barbecue vibes.” When a fan asked on social media if the album would still be released on Friday, he replied, “I have to push it back a bit. The music is ready but organizing listening events, shows, etc. might take another week or two. ??✨.”

Last month, an early version of Big Sean’s album was leaked – although the rapper insists the leak had nothing to do with the delay. Some fans insisted that Kanye West could be behind the leak, although Ye’s former protégé was quick to refute those rumors in a live appearance with GothamHipHop.

Howlett has 11.2 million followers on Instagram, but the content creator rose to fame on TikTok, where he has 13.1 million followers. His most popular content revolves around the idea that Gen Z members look older due to stress.

Better than you will be Big Sean’s sixth studio album. An official release date has not yet been announced.
