DNC Night 3: Performances by John Legend, Sheila E, Stevie Wonder

The third evening of the Democratic National Convention took place on Wednesday evening and there were John Legend Welcome, Governor of Minnesota. Tim Walz with a tribute to prince and his home state of Minnesota. He sang Prince and the Revolution‘s “Let’s Go Crazy” with some help from Sarah.

Stevie Wonder entered the stage for a performance of “Higher Ground”, but not without first declaring his support for Walz and Vice President Kamala HarrisHe also shared his hope for peace and unity.

“This year I have prayed very fervently for peace to come to the nations of our world, but also to come to each of our hearts, even though our hearts have been so beaten and broken that we could no longer pray for it,” Stevie said. “We must keep going until we are truly one united people of these United States, and then we will rise to a higher level.”

Oprah also appeared on the third night of the DNC.

John Legend and Stevie Wonder are among the latest attendees to appear at the Democratic National Convention in support of the Harris/Walz consortium. Patti LaBellewho performed on the second night, described Harris as a “gangster.”

“I think she’s… what you call a ‘brat’ or whatever, I call it a ‘gangster,'” Patti explained. “She’s a nostalgic girl. She’s a wonderful woman who has all the aspects of a gangster in her, political, brilliant. Whatever she wants to be, she is.”

“I love her because she smiles, laughs, is happy and things like that that you don’t see in some politicians,” LaBelle adds. “It’s important for us to find someone like her who can bring us a little bit of joy and hope. It would be a Christmas present for everyone if she becomes president. I don’t think it’s a question of ‘if’, but ‘when.'”
