Travelport adds Greater Bay Airlines to its …

The airline serves seven destinations across the continent

Travelport, GDS and travel technology specialist Travelport have announced that agency clients can now access content from Hong Kong’s newest airline, Greater Bay Airlines (GBA), via the Travelport+ platform.

Hong Kong’s newest airline serves seven destinations in the Asia-Pacific region, including mainland China and North and Southeast Asia.

The new multi-year partnership will support GBA’s aggressive expansion plans as Travelport+ connects the Hong Kong-based airline with Travelport’s global network of travel retailers.

Travel agents can now search, compare and book GBA fares and additional services.

The agreement also allows GBA to leverage Travelport’s content and branding merchandising solutions to drive additional revenue.

“We have partnered with Travelport to support our growth strategy and connect with more travel retailers so we can make it easier for travel agents and travelers to shop and book with GBA,” said Stephen Loh, Chief Operating Officer of Greater Bay Airlines.

“We are impressed by Travelport’s vision to improve the travel experience by modernizing the sales process and making it easier for travel agents to leverage our dynamic content and sell our product offerings and ancillary services.”

Damian Hickey, Global Head of Travel Partners at Travelport, said: “With this new partner agreement, we have enhanced the multi-source content that our agency clients can search, sell and service in Travelport+. It will also help GBA reach more travel retailers and customers as GBA expands into additional markets.

“Our ability to make it easier for travel agents to access and compare content from multiple sources from brands like GBA and other providers is critical to modern travel distribution, so travelers know they are being presented with the best options and can book with confidence.”
