Tribit StormBox 2 delivers room-filling sound in a package the size of a soda can (review) – G Style Magazine

Tribit has been around for a few years now. They primarily make audio products, and in the past I have reviewed headphones, earbuds, and speakers from them. I have generally been pleased with what we have seen from them, with amazing sound and build quality at an affordable price. One of their latest products is the Tribit StormBox 2which is part of their popular StormBox range and offers 360° surround sound, XBass technology, 24 hours of playtime, IPX7 water resistance and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

The Tribit StormBox 2 is a tube-shaped speaker for 360-degree sound. It’s about the size of a water bottle, meaning it’s compact and will fit in the water bottle compartments of most backpacks. The speakers are surrounded by a fabric-like material that gives the StormBox 2 a more luxurious look and feel.

The speaker has large playback buttons so you never have to search for them, and a waterproof design so you can take it pretty much anywhere without worrying about damaging it. You can tell the speaker is waterproof because all the buttons are sealed to prevent water from getting in, and the rubber flap cover of the charging port is nice and thick and only takes a little force to remove. There’s also a loop strap on the top to make it easy to carry.

Looks aside, the Tribit StormBox 2 is an audio heavyweight! In Normal mode, the sound is very crisp and clear. The 360-degree sounds allow you to hear clear audio no matter how the speaker is placed. Highs and mids are very clear and there is a good range in the upper range. In the lower range, where the bass is, it is not very deep on Normal. It is acceptable for most situations, but it does not have the punch it needs. It is only when you turn on XBASS that things get interesting. This basically boosts the bass, to the point where you not only hear a bass boost, but you can also see the speakers booming. This makes the bass sound really deep and I think in most cases you will probably just want to leave XBASS on unless you are playing music that is very vocal or instrument heavy.

All in all, the Tribit StormBox 2 is a fantastic little portable speaker. Its size makes it super easy to carry in your pocket and the large controls make it easy to use. The large 5200mAh battery gives you incredible playtime and Bluetooth 5.3 means you can use it from a distance. And not to forget: the speaker sounds really good with any type of music. All of these features make the Tribit StormBox 2 a clear winner for me.

The Tribit StormBox 2 is now available on Amazon.
