Baker Mayfield and Chris Godwin surprise Mike Evans on his birthday

Baker Mayfield and Chris Godwin surprise Mike Evans on his birthday

Mike Evans is getting older, but that certainly doesn’t mean his performance is slowing down.

Evans turned 31 on Wednesday, which coincidentally coincides with the final day of training camp with the Miami Dolphins. Evans had a great day, being the primary target for quarterback Baker Mayfield and catching numerous balls in open space alongside fellow wideout Chris Godwin, proving he can still hold his own against NFL defenders.

The three met after practice and of course Mayfield and Evans had to wish the Buccaneers legend a happy birthday by singing him the theme song. It was a nice surprise for Evans, but the two had something else in store for the veteran wide receiver.

Check out the video below:

Although Evans tried his best not to get outdone by Nickelodeon when he won the 2023 NFL NVP in Week 2, he couldn’t prevent that win. It’s unlikely to matter to him, as he’ll be hoping for Mayfield to throw a few touchdown passes to him and for Godwin to have a great season of his own to distract defenders and give Evans even more playing time.

Although training camp is over and Mike Evans can take a week off before the regular season begins, Tampa Bay will then prepare to face the Washington Commanders in Week 1 of the regular season.
